Sundarban B.Ed College was founded in 2015 by a group of enthusiasts, who were deeply concerned about providing good quality education at a very affordable cost to the poorest of the students in Sundarban area. Nestled in a beautiful and serene setup, the college provides a perfect backdrop of unhindered education, guided by some of the best professors in the profession.

In the year 2017, prioritizing the need of the students, who could not afford to go for college education yet wanted to train themselves as primary teacher, and also who want to become a primary teacher then SundarbanB.Ed College introduced another Course of D.El.Ed by Sundarban Primary Teachers’ Training Institute with 50 students for who passed class XII.

Over the year the college has also served as study centers of ODL mode for D. El. Ed course for non-trained government teachers under WBBPE and Primary Teachers’ Training Institute and also run for in service para teaches by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) under Ministry of HRD, Govt of India.
